I don't know if he should or should not be on here. That is a difficult question for me. I understand the reasoning behind it, but I also remember being that same age and sneaking pornography and reading and doing things that were potentially harmful. I don't know how that shaped me as a person, but I do not think that I am a bad person. Since I am not a bad person, I do not think that these things did me harm.

However, I will admit, I did have a strong grasp of the difference between fantasy and reality, which I attribute to the fact that I have always been a huge geek.

I didn't know message boards were so stressful.

Or, rather said, message board commenters have stressful lifes...getting beat up at school, your girlfriend's cheating...God, have mercy!

onibara

If that is the case, what is a commenter to do? Give up commenting on message boards? No! That would be giving in.

Don't be a quitter. Comment like a crazy person, like a man possessed!

Comment! Comment like a stoat in heat!

Okay? Your twelve years old, and your mom is okay with all this what your dad is he okay with this as well but shouldn't they know that there is a rating system with videogames and that there are certain games that certain individuals shouldn't play because they could get the wrong ideas from the videogame and make a mess in this world.

You know, I remember when D&D was blamed for several violent incidents involving people who played the game. I feel as though those people who blamed the game were unstable to begin with and would have committed these violent acts anyway. D&D, or video games, just gave them a scapegoat to blame these violent urges on.

If Talaban's parents consider him mature enough to play M rated games, then I think we shouldnt argue. Talaban is getting ready to enter his pree-teen years and this is a very developmental stage in a persons life. If you try to shelter them to much then they wont be ready when life starts tossing the rough decisions they're way. I really doubt that a few M rated games are going to turn Talaban into some kind of wierdo.

True, yet it's not a good idea for a child to throw around his age and such on a website. I say this because when I was younger I had some personal trouble because I put some of my personal information on a website. The kid should be more careful, to be honest
